Leanell passed away last Sunday, April 9, 2017 of natural causes. She was born April 17, 1927 in New Braunfels, Texas as Hulda Leanell Pape, but from childhood, she was always Leanell. She is survived by three sons: Garvin Anderson and his wife Pam, Jack Tisdale, AIA and his wife Carol, and Thomas Tisdale and his wife Levennia. She was blessed with six grand-children and two great grand-children. Leanell was preceded in death by her husband, Finis Jack Tisdale on August 16, 1972.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Cook Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar in Austin from 10 am until 2 pm. A family service will be at 2 pm and burial will follow at Austin Memorial Park next to her husband of 20 years. The family extends their heart-felt thanks to the staff at Gracy Woods II Nursing Home and Heart-to-Heart Hospice who provided such excellent care for our beloved mother.
