

Lela was born to Charlie Klemm and Dora Rother on October 24, 1919, in McDade, Texas. She was raised by her loving grandparents, Oscar and Tena Rother. She married the love of her life, Willard Bostic, on November 16, 1938. Soon after they married, they moved to Austin, where they made their permanent home and raised two daughters. She worked for Capital Memorial Gardens Cemetery for over 30 years and was heavily involved with her church. MeeMaw found enjoyment in her family from the days of taking her grandchildren back and forth to little league games and other events to watching her great-grandchildren do the same things.
Lela was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Willard “Jim” Bostic; and her brother, Carlie Klemm and his wife, Becky, of McDade.
Lela is survived by her daughters, LaNell Brown, Donna Stark and husband Randy; grandchildren Shannon Black and husband Jason, Shawn Stark, Craig Stark and wife Brandi; great-grandchildren, Dalton, Morgan and Jaden Black, Colton and Berkly Stark. She is also survived by her brother, Morris Kastner and wife Vernell, sisters Dorothy Altenhof and Ivy Cronin and many nieces and nephews.
Lela’s family appreciates the loving care given to her by Denise Jackson, Odyssey Hospice, and staff of HealthSouth Rehab and St. David’s Hospital.
The family will be receiving family and friends on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 6-8pm at Cook-Walden Funeral Home located at 6100 N. Lamar Blvd in Austin. A celebration of life will be held at the same place at 10am on Friday, April 11, 2014 followed by interment at 12:30pm at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.
