

Lenora Reimers, age 88, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010. Born Frankie Lenora Collier, in Leander, Texas, September 14, 1921, to father, Samuel Oscar Collier and mother, Myrtle Elizabeth Maynard, she became “Aunt Lenora” to a great number of nieces and nephews and their children, and many friends. She lived her entire life in Central Texas and with husband, Johnny Reimers, raised sheep, goats, and cattle on their ranch on the Pedernales River in Spicewood.
She worked many years for Southwestern Bell as an operator supervisor and was an active rancher most of her life. She had a variety of interests throughout her life including horseracing, rodeo, sewing, gardening, hunting, fishing, and painting. Later in life she was active in her community as an Emergency Medical Technician for the Pedernales Fire Department.
She cherished her brothers and sisters, their children, and grandchildren. She took great interest in each and everyone and was the family historian and keeper of the family tree. She delighted in every addition to the family whether by marriage or birth.
She is survived by her sister, Oleta Phillips; and several generations of nieces and nephews, many of whom enjoyed time with her and Uncle Johnny on the ranch.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Reimers; brothers, LV Collier, Eugene Collier, and Damon Collier; sisters, Fannie Mae Cox and Corrine Priest; half brothers, Willie Homer Collier and Austie Leo Collier; and half sister, Eloise Lloyd.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 30, 2010 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 6300 W. William Cannon Drive.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Pedernales River Fellowship, 22800 Hwy. 71 West in Spicewood, Texas with Pastor John Rudd officiating. Interment will follow at Fall Creek Cemetery.
