Leo is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years Sylvia V Nunez and his wonderful step-children and children. He is also survived by the apples of his eye, his grandsons Shane "Gordo" Pardo and Johnny "Comboyito" So who will miss him dearly. He is also survived by his great grandchildren, sisters, brother, brother-in-laws, and sister-in-laws, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Leo is preceded in death by his parents Cayetano and Marcelina Nunez; daughter Petra; two sisters, Martha and Cayetana; one brother, Antonio, and father-in-law Monico Villaloando.
Leo had been a Supervisor with PS Landscapes since 2005 and was devoted to his job.
The love for his wife never went unnoticed as he often surprised her with bouquets of flowers. Leo was a family man and a hard worker. On his days off he enjoyed listening to music while tending to the yard, which he was very strict about and proud of. His family often joked about cutting through the yard because they knew Leo was always watching. Leo could turn a simple yard into a beautiful, magical landscape, which is exactly what he did for the Nunez family home. He also enjoyed making his famous menudo or caldo.
Some of his hobbies besides landscaping were playing soccer, watching his favorite soccer teams Leon and Santos, fishing, camping, dancing and meeting new people. He had plans to retire and was looking into starting his own business so that he could be with his wife and family more.
Leo was a simple man who just enjoyed his life and everyone in it who will be greatly missed by his family, numerous friends, and co-workers but most importantly by his wife Sylvia.
A visitation for Leo will be held Friday, September 30, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Weed-Corley-Fish South Chapel, 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas 78704, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM.
