Leslie Kay Gammage of Leander, Texas passed away on Wednesday, March 4 at the age of 66. She was born on April 4, 1959 in Midland Texas. She lived in Brownwood until the age of 8 before moving to Richardson and then after a short period of time in California, she then moved to Austin.
Les was preceded in death by her beloved Grandmother Hazy, her mother Anna Kay and sister Kelly.
She is survived by her husband Jim Gammage, daughter Andrea Said and husband Michael, her son Casen Kasper and wife Eva, and by her two very special granddaughters, Simone and Neve.
Les, or Gigi as she was known to her family, was very loving, caring and creative person with a great, sometimes dry, sense of humor.
She loved to spend time with her family and friends, hosting holidays and celebrations. The annual Easter egg hunt was one of her very favorites.
She always made sure that birthdays were special for all in her family. Always looking for the perfect gift for everyone whether it was a birthday or Christmas. She was classy and beautiful with a great sense of style and always made an effort to look her best. She was incredibly witty and always had something spirited to say.
She was always checking up on everyone, making sure we were all ok and loved her family, kids and grandchildren more than anything. She had a huge heart, an open mind and always encouraged everyone to be who they wanted to be and do what they wanted to do to make them happy.
She was the heart of our family and she will be deeply missed
The family would like to thank all of the caregivers from Gentiva Hospice and Riva Ridge Assisted Living for the care and compassion they showed her in their final days.
