Libbie Lorraine Nichols was born on August 20, 1998 in Austin, Texas. Libbie was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of six months. A bright and shining star to the very end, she became Heavens angel on April 9, 2004. A beautiful, loving and spunky little girl, Libbie was an inspiration to all she met because of her courage in facing the adversities of her illness. Her family is grateful for the gift of every moment spent with this magical child, and we know that our Princess Libbie is with God in eternity and her spirit lives on forever. She is survived by her parents, John and Becky Nichols, her brother John Jacob "Buster" Nichols, grandparents, Ron and Diane Ralph, David Clark, Kenneth and Sally Nichols, and Rod and Becky Cantu; great-grandparents, Lorraine Turner and Mary Nichols, and many more loving family members and friends. Visitation will be 1 p.m.- 9p.m. Monday, April 12, 2004 and funeral services will be Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at 10 a.m., both at the Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Ave., Austin, Texas 78744. The Reverend Paul "Doc" Henry will officiate. Donations can be made to the Childrens Art Project at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas.
