Libby Mokry Davis

September 14, 1933April 9, 2021

Libby Davis, Mom, was born 9-14-33 and died 4-9-2021. She’s a native of Volente and owned Libby’s Bar & Grill. She was previously a Texas Hwy. Dept. employee. She was known for telling you like it was. She loved music, beer, smoking, dancing, and was always the life of the party. Grandma never walked into a place as a guest, she walked in like she owned the place. She was meaner than a pissed off rattlesnake, but if you ever needed help, she’d be the first one to give you the shirt off her back. She helped create the Volente Volunteer Fire Dept. along with other family members. She is survived by her children, Shell, Brandy, and Shane Davis, 7 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by two loving sisters, Margaret and Carmen. She was preceded in death by her husband and son, Charles and Ronny Davis. Mom was dearly loved by her family and many, many friends. We will miss her in so many ways. Heroes come and go but LEGENDS never die.

Services will be held at Austin Memorial Park at 1:00pm Saturday the 17th of April.

What I remember about Libby is losing my business along with most my friends, she sent me a Christmas card with cash included. I really needed her support and valued her friendship as she felt me and she cared. Volente is lonely without Libby. I honor you fine lady.

Libby will be dearly missed by her Family at The Enclave at Cedar Park. She was one of a kind and there will never be another one like her! She was a free spirit and loved to listen to live music. She never met a stranger and would tell you exactly what she was thinking. Bless her heart, Rest In Peace, We will miss you Libby Do!

Volente will never be the same without Libby. From the first day I met her she told me how important this little town was to her. How much her family had given to the fire department so that there would be a fire truck for this town. She would come over and have coffee almost every morning. And she loved her some cookies. Pork chops was one of her favorite meals. We have all missed Libby after she moved from the home place. And now she has gone to meet our Heavenly Father Jesus Christ. We will always have a special place in our hearts for Mrs Libby and all the laughs we had with her.
