

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 32 years, LtCol Gerald L. Waterman. Also predeceasing her were her parents Joseph and Agnes Kocian, her siblings Joseph Kocian, Edward Kocian, Mary Koncak, Frank Kocian, and Charles Kocian, granddaughter Teresa Louise Waterman, and daughter-in-law Allison Wardlaw.
Lidmila was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her four sons survive her: Gerald L. Waterman, Jr. (Sherry), Tallahassee, FL; David K. Waterman (Michiko), Temple City, CA; LeRoy F. Waterman, II (Margaret), Buda, TX; and Mark K. Waterman (Deborah), Rolling Oaks, TX. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Lidmila was born in Endicott, New York, and graduated from Vestal Central High School in 1943. She met her husband in high school, and the two were married June 21, 1947. As an officer's wife, she spent her early years travelling the US and Europe. In 1970, she and her husband moved to Austin where they retired in 1974. She worked as a Manager in two fabric stores in Austin. Upon her husband's death, she began working for the Internal Revenue Service, as a tax examiner and worked there for 25 years before retiring at the age of 78. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, nature and the outdoors, working in the yard and gardening, as well as spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a kind and giving woman, who would do whatever was necessary to help her family. She will be greatly missed.
