Linda Marie Johnson Arnold

Linda Marie Arnold, age 64, returned to her Heavenly Home on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018 in Austin, Texas from complications related to a blood infection. She was the 4th born child of seven children. Her love for the Lord and support from her family gave her much peace and comfort till the end.

None of us want to be defined by our mistakes, and the same was true for Linda... she was beautiful, witty, forgiving, compassionate, and she loved deeply. Linda’s large loving heart believed in second chances just as we all do. One of Linda’s favorite hobbies was reading a great romance novel and trading books with her family. She also enjoyed attending events to support her children, birthday parties, family reunions, playing cards, and traveling with her mother. When Linda was able, she enjoyed attending church with her oldest daughter Laurel.

Linda is survived by her son, Kevin Arnold of Austin; daughter Laurel Stockdale of Austin; and daughter Joy Hudson and husband Sedric of Pflugerville. Grandchildren are Arielle Arnold of San Antonio; Harrison Arnold of San Marcos; and Austin Hudson of Pflugerville. Siblings are John Johnson of Lexington; Jim Johnson of Bastrop; Suzanne Ivy of Bastrop; Jerry Johnson and wife Stephanie of Austin; Laurie Blok and husband Steve of Lexington; and Jenny Johnson of Volente. Survivors also include many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Jackie Lee Johnson.

A Celebration of Linda’s Life will be at 2:00 P.M., April 22, 2018 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow the Service at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
