Born on October 1, 1941, Linda was a life long Austinite who pursued her education at Pease Elementary, S.F. Austin High School and Austin Community College. She began her career with IRS in a data entry role, and through hard work and perseverance, rose to the position of corporate auditor.
Linda had a deep love for animals and was especially active in rescuing and caring for feral cats. Her compassion extended to all living beings- she was known for her generosity and willingness to help anyone in need. She also found joy in creative pursuits such as sewing, crocheting, reading and gardening.
She is lovingly remembered by her only sibling, Lucille Lopez, daughters Liz Lopez Waisner and Linda Sue Lopez Janak, and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons Frank Monroe Lopez and John Adam Lopez, as well as her parents Monroe Lopez and Petra Rivera Lopez.
Linda's legacy is one of kindness, resilience and quiet strength. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
We love you, Mom. Thanks for always making our house a home.
