Linda Quinn

Linda Hay Quinn was born in Houston, Texas, on December 9th, 1950, and adored by her parents Ray and Elleen Hay. Linda enjoyed a loving childhood in Houston, Texas, developing deep friendships who are still friends to this very day. Larry and Linda married on December 13, 1975, and were married for 50 beautiful years. They settled in Austin in the early 1980s. Linda showed an incredible ability to love in being a Mother to her three children, Trey, Alison, and Kelly. Linda supported her children as she shuffled to and from and attended all the baseball games, football games, swim practices, swim meets, choir concerts, and on and on. Linda never met a stranger.

She was a loyal friend; investing in the lives of close friends from church, “the hood”, bridge club, and countless others she would meet in her day-to-day life. Linda worked as a paralegal as well as being an avid volunteer in Austin. Linda showed commitment to the Settlement Home of Austin by spending Mondays for decades volunteering in the sports department. Linda’s faith and devotion were shown in volunteering with both the Altar Guild and St. Brigid’s Guild at The Good Shepherd Episcopal Church.

Yet, all of this paled in comparison to the lifelong impact Linda has left on the lives of her eight grandchildren. Linda regularly attended the various sports activities, fine art events, and graduations, as well as all snuggles on the couch, days swimming in their pool. Trips to Florida and Texas beaches, Lake LBJ, and numerous trips to Colorado filled her cup.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband Larry Quinn of 50 years; son Trey Moore and wife Salve Moore of Seoul, South Korea and their daughter Sarah; daughter Alison Acton and husband Chris Acton of Fredericksburg, Texas and their five children Abigail Stewart, Harrison Stewart, Emma Stewart, Christopher Acton and Quinn Acton; and daughter Kelly Hayden and husband Russell Hayden of Austin, Texas and their two children Ford Hayden and Grant Hayden in addition to countless family and friends.
