

My loving wife, Linda Y. Ramirez-Salinas passed away on Saturday January 17, 2026, at the age of 65. She was born on January 11, 1961, in Laredo, Texas where she grew up.
Linda graduated from J.W. Nixon High School and attended St. Edwards University where she received her bachelor’s degree in education and art.
Linda worked for the Austin Independent School District as an elementary teacher as well as at Jackie's Academy as an elementary art teacher.
Linda was deeply involved in her church and community, giving her time and heart to church groups, clubs, and children’s religious programs. She had a true passion for art and brought creativity into everything she did. Whether it was a large project or the smallest detail, Linda poured herself into it completely. Her creativity, faith, and dedication touched many lives, and her spirit will be remembered in the beauty and care she brought to her family and those around her.
Linda is preceded in death by her father Romulo Israel Ramirez, her mother Eva Martinez Ramirez, and her brother Albert Ramirez
Linda is survived by her husband Steven Ernest Salinas, her two sons Nathan Ernest Salinas and Joshua Thomas Salinas, her five siblings Xavier (Pamela) Ramirez, Mary (James Buck) Massey, Jorge (Gina) Ramirez, Rene (Susy) Ramirez, Roisel (Corrie) Ramirez; and her nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Elizabeth “Beth” Harwell of Hospice Austin for the care and compassion she showed our loved one in her final days.
Visitation with the family will begin at 4:00 pm on Thursday 1/29/26 in the evening at Cook-Walden/ Forest Oaks Memorial Park located at 6300 West William Cannon Dr Austin, Texas 78749. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Services will be held at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church on Friday 1/30/26 at 10:00 am. A Celebration will be held for Linda immediately following the Mass Service in the Church Hall, located at 4800 Convict Hill Rd. Austin, Texas 78749.
