Linda Ruth Richardson

Linda Ruth Richardson, age 64, of Austin, formerly of Beaumont, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 30, 2006. She was born in Houston, Texas on September 23, 1942. Linda was preceded in death by her parents Lucille and Vernon Brashear. Linda worked many years as an LVN in Beaumont, Pasadena, and Louisiana. After retiring from nursing, Linda started working in the family business with her brother and sister. Linda worked at both of the Forget Me Not Hallmark Shops in Austin where she made many friends. Linda was a member of the 2nd Baptist Church in Houston and was presently attending Riverbend Church in Austin. Linda was her happiest being outdoors tending to her plants. She enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. Linda was a nature lover, having a special appreciation for all birds. Linda will be especially missed by her beloved pets. She was a member of the Forget Me Not Collectors North Club. She loved collecting ornaments and most importantly, Angels. Linda made friends easily and will be missed by all. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Ashworth and husband Mark Burrows, and Donna Ballard; her brother Byron Brashear and her sister Sharon Brashear; grandchildren, Justin Ashworth, Reid, Justin and Colby Burrows. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, October 9, 2006 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Smith Chapel at Riverbend Church with Reverend Paulette Schwartz and Chaplain Colonel Walter Mattison, USAF, Retired, officiating.
