It was a pleasure and honor to work with Linda at the VA and her friendship still brings joy to my heart. Her strength and courage were an inspiration to me as I watched her succeed in life.



I met Linda several times and she was one sweet lady.  I know her bright smile will be missed by all of her family and friends.

I only knew Linda briefly, but she was a joy to be around and so much fun, as well as beautiful.    My prayers and thoughts are with you all.

I was so sad when I heard about Linda's death.  She was such a nice person and so pleasant to work with.  I last saw Linda on Thursday, November 20th.  We were on the elevator at work and I told her how great she looked and she smiled and seemed so happy. My prayers are with her family and friends.



Linda was my best friend in Austin, Tx for more than 18 years.  I loved her so much and will miss her more than she could ever realize.  We went through some of the toughest things in life together and was my own personal true angel when I needed her.  We spent some great times together and secrets (she knew)only she & I would know.  She knows I will be looking for her when I cross to the other side.  She was so close to finding happiness--I hope she finally has.  I will ALWAYS love her and miss her.

Linda,    I will miss your sweet voice daily on the phone and all the laughs we have shared over the years. I don't remember us ever getting mad at each other which was a wonderful thing. We were like high school girls chatting on the phone everyday. Since Saturday I have missed your calls and my heart breaks that you are gone. I want to thank you for spending your last day here on earth with me. You will be forever in my heart and I will still talk to you in my prayers. I am so stunned by Linda's death. This has happened way too soon for a women of her potential.  I thought of Linda as a woman of great ability and confidence; one who could do anything she set her mind to; having an ability to roll with the punches; a lady with a killer smile and a great laugh. I remember the last time Linda was being moved from a nice office with a view to a smaller office with no view.  I was worried she'd be upset.  If she was, she kept it to herself and was a real trooper. (Not everyone is.) Linda had the ability to reason what was and was not importatnt. I know her passing is a great loss to your family as it is to her friends at DHS. She will be greatly missed.



The best friend a person could have  who was always there at the right   time. She will be missed.



I met Linda in September of this year and we became friends instantly. I love you, Linda, and hope you are at peace.  Your wonderful humor will be missed.



We knew Linda since 1982 and are proud of calling her our friend, matter of fact she was more than a friend.  Her beautiful and free spirit was too good for this earth.  She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.  Her soul is, not doubt, in the presence of God, but all of us who knew her lost a dear person.  This world will not be same without her and I know for one, will always carry her laughter and the good memories of our time together in my heart forever.  She left too soon. Several years ago I met Linda when work at the Veterans Administration frequently brought me to Austin. The first time that I saw her smile, I knew that she was someone that I wanted to know better. For a couple of years, she was like a sister to me as my frequent trips kept bringing me back to Austin. In the last few years, we didn't see each other as often but when we did, it was always as if we had only seen each other a few days earlier.  The world was brighter when she was lighting it up with her smile and happy personality.  I'll miss her. Going to Austin will never be the same again.



My prayers go out to the family and friends of Linda Walker. I met Linda about 2wks ago and we seemed to talk as if we knew each other for years. She seemed so full of life and was a very sweet person. I wish i would have gotten to know her more.  She will forever be in my prayers.



Linda was more than a friend.  She often referred to me as "Mom."  One of life's greatest pleasures  was my friendship with Linda.  I have pretty pictures of her.  I have gifts she presented me  on Birthdays. I shall miss her  and I only hope she knew how  much I loved her. Even though  I cannot attend her service.  I will be there in thought.
