

Lisa Anderson, 64, of Austin, Tx, died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026, after a brief illness. She was born in Houston, Tx on Feb. 17, 1962 to Thomas & Kathleen Anderson. Lisa loved to make everyone laugh and was an award-winning tennis player. Lisa adored dogs, cats and any animal she came across, often rescuing many feral cats.
Lisa grew up in Houston and attended Westbury High School. In her teens, Lisa was an accomplished equestrian rider, winning trophies in English- and Western-style riding. Lisa had a long, successful career as an office manager for commercial construction companies in Houston, Dallas and finally in Austin for Austin Commercial. Lisa was a talented tennis player and a member of the United States Tennis Association.
Predeceasing Lisa are her father, Thomas Anderson and her grandparents, Clarence and Hallie Anderson, and John and Rose MacKenzie.
Surviving Lisa are her mother, Kathleen Anderson of Houston, Tx; her brothers, Mike Anderson of Houston, Tx and Rob Anderson of Humble, Tx, and her long-time partner Jeff Horvath of Austin. Lisa is also survived by her aunt and uncle Helen and Tim Blair and her cousins Matthew, Catherine and Margaret Blair.
