Lois P. Griffin

Lois P. Griffin, age 79, of Austin, Texas passed away on Monday, October 15, 2007. She was born on December 11, 1927 to Robert and Ollie Goodnight in Bell County, Texas. Lois worked early in her marriage for the Teacher Retirement System, and later for the St. Edward’s University, but was mainly a full-time wife and mother. She attended Faith United Methodist Church and was an active member in Faith United Methodist Women. Lois was a Charter member, Women’s Architectural League, Opti Mrs, and a P.T.A. Life Member. She enjoyed quilting, cryptograms, and crossword puzzles. Lois was preceded in death by her brothers, Arthur, Carl, Chester, Robbie; sister, Jeanette Bradford. She is survived by her husband, John H. Griffin; daughter, Pamela J. and husband, James Haberer; sons, Mike Griffin and wife Kerrie, Patrick O. Griffin; brother, Ellis Goodnight; grandchildren, Misty Haberer, Adam Haberer, Tasha Laird, Lee J. Griffin, KyLynn Griffin, Jessica Griffin, Crystal Griffin, Sarah Griffin; several nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 19, 2007 at Faith United Methodist Church with Reverend Sheree Maberry Harris officiating. Memorial contribution may be made to Faith United Methodist Church or to the charity of your choice.
