Still hard to believe Loren is gone….. Always a gentle giant with an enormous heart. He was in our lives longer than he wasn’t (back to ‘85) and then we had so many bonus years while working together. I’ll never forget my trepidation when Richie said he hired Loren because I knew him…. What do I know -  it  was a perfect fit! Loren really shined professionally and was a positive influence on so many.
We will miss you!


  Loren and I grew up together and have shared so many great times, from elementary school, high school and on.
  Too many great times to list but I'll never forget the sandlot football games, neighborhood water balloon fights and riding our bikes to school.
  Many snow skiing trips, backpacking adventures and both our first times in Las Vegas (what a story that was).
  We worked together and partied together and it is just surreal that he's not with us.
  Godspeed my friend..............I'll see you on the other side.  
  

I am so sorry to hear of Loren’s passing. He was just a true gentleman.  After a 20 year time span, he treated me like we saw each other yesterday. Just a kind person. He will be missed. Rest in peace Loren. Your shift is over, relax and enjoy your rest.

Loren was such a great person.  Always smiling, always there to help.   He will be missed.

Loren will be missed. We worked together and he was a big teddy bear who gave great big hugs. He always made me smile and I can still hear his goofy laughter. I did not get to see him when he retired. He worked many years here at PPD and he was very good at what he did. I will miss him dearly and I will always be praying for him until we meet again. Rest in peace my friend. 

Working with Loren was a real gift.  There were multiple times over the years that we would begin a conversation regarding work and then it turns into a 20-minute conversation about hobbies.  Loren was someone anyone could come up to for a question whether they were a long-term co-worker or literally began just that day.  He was unmistakably warm and caring to all of us at PPD.  

It was a loss when he left the site, and now that he has passed makes that void even larger. 

I was heart broken to hear about Loren’s passing. He was the definition of a kind soul. I worked with him at PPD for 7 years and he was the always there to talk to if I needed a friend. I will miss him dearly.

This is Rick Ehrstin. I was married to Loren’s sister-in-law, Shelly; Loren and I liked to call ourselves brother-outlaws. We were good pals for many years, and I’m shocked and deeply saddened to hear of his death.  All blessings to him and to his loved ones. I’m very, very sad to hear this news.
