Mrs. Brooks departed this life on Monday, December 20, 2010 in Austin, Texas. She was born February 27, 1930 in Stotesbury, MO to Lyle and Alma Thompson. The Thompson family moved to Koshkonong, MO in 1941. Mrs. Brooks graduated from Koshkonong High School in 1948 and attended Draughon Business College in Springfield, MO.
She was married to Bruce Perkins of Koshkonong in September of 1950. The couple had one child Diedre, who preceded her mother in death. After Mr. Perkins’ death, Mrs. Brooks was married to Ed Brooks of Austin, TX.
Mrs. Brooks is survived by her brother, Bob Thompson and wife Eva, of West Plains. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husbands and her daughter.
