Lorna E Arnold

She was born November 17,1927 in Olney Texas. Lorna was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Cordell Arnold and three of her six children, Loretta Kay Arnold, Gerald Laurence Arnold, and Raymond Carl Arnold.

She is survived by one brother Albert Knobloch of Wichita Falls Texas and one sister Anita Simmons of Seymour Texas and three children, Donald C Arnold and wife Kathleen of Salem Oregon, David H Arnold and wife Katherine of Manor Texas, and Karen E Arnold Bernard and husband Philip of Dallas Texas, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Lorna was born and raised on a farm near Megargel Texas After finishing High school she went to Draughns Business College in Fort Worth Texas. It was here that she met her future husband Cordell. After a short courtship they were married in St. Luke Lutheran church of Olney Texas on January 23, 1947. Cordell had a 24 year career in the US Air Force supported by Lorna. After his retirement in 1962 they opened and enjoyed a long career in the insurance business.

Lorna and family are longtime members of ST Paul Lutheran church in Austin Texas where she was active in the Alter Guild and LWML. She was a loving wife, a great mother and a good friend to all who knew her. Her life was a blessing to all and her memory will be cherished forever.
