

Louis Gonzales Fabian, born August 19, 1941, in Austin, Texas, died peacefully on September 1, 2008, at the age of 67. He had battled a fourteen-month fight against cancer. Louis was a 1961 graduate from Travis High School. He was a truck driver for 42 years and retired in January 2004 from Central Freight Lines, Inc. with 31 years of service. Louis is preceded in death by his parents; Juan and Sista Fabian; parents-in-law, Manuel F. and Isabel V. Ramos; brothers, Felipe and Robert Fabian; and daughter, Roselinda Fabian. Louis is survived by his wife of 44 years Hermelinda (Melin) Ramos Fabian; sons, Joe Louis Fabian, Jr., Lawrence Fabian (wife Rebecca) of Austin, daughters; Annette Veronica Saldivar (husband Virgil) of Austin, Jennette Alma Rodriguez (husband Michael), Mary Antoinette Fabian (husband Joe Angel) of Manor, Texas, eight grandsons; four granddaughters, four great-grandchildren; many brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, and extended family members. Louis and his family would like to thank Cipriano and Herminia (Minnie) Aleman and his devoted neighbors, who helped during his illness. Our heart felt gratitude goes out to Dr. Carlos Rubin de Celis, the staff at Texas Oncology, the staff at St. David's Hospital/ICU team for making my father's time peaceful. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Friday, September 5, 2008 at St. Julia Catholic Church with Reverend Chris Ferrer, officiating. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Austin, Texas.
