

Major Louis Druian, USAF, Retired, was called to his eternal home in heaven by his Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, January 17, 2011. He retired from the Air Force on May 31, 1963 at Andrews AFB, Washington DC. He moved with his family to Austin in 1965 and worked at the IRS service Center until he retired again on January 1, 1983. Lou enjoyed his retirement years golfing and cruising. He had a deep abiding faith in his Lord and was a member of Bannockburn Baptist Church where he was a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, Usher and participated in various church committees.
Lou served his country with honor for 22 years. He served in Europe during WW II and the Berlin Airlift. He also participated in the Korean War and was stationed with his family in Taiwan in readiness during the onset of the Viet-Nam war.
Lou is survived by his loving family: wife, Leda (Lee) Druian; son, Roy L. Druian and wife, Joni of Austin; son, Scott D. Druian and wife, Kathleen of Duluth, Georgia; five granddaughters and two great-grandsons.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 21, 2011 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 22, 2011 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bannockburn Baptist Church Building Fund.
