Louis was born July 17th, 1947 in Manor, Texas. He went on to achieve the rank of Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force and retired after 20 years of service. He also served 20 years as a Texas Comptroller for Public Accounts.
In his free time, Louis enjoyed playing softball and played for The United States Air Force team.
A man of great faith, Louis was a member of Angels Healing and Recovery Church.
He is survived by his wife, Payom Rucker; his children: Samantha (Shawn) Jefferson, and Amanda Louis Rucker; his grandchildren: Lea Voncell Jefferson, Kristen Michelle Jefferson, Shawn Jefferson Jr., and David Jefferson.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 24th, 2022 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home at 2pm.
