

Age 85, of Austin, passed away on March 08, 2017.
Lou was born on June 10, 1931 in Wichita KS. He was the oldest child of Clearance Jacob (Jake) Struble and Florence Aldine (Dean) Struble. He was a member of the U.S Navy for four years. He is survived by his wife, Theresa, of 58 years.

• Richard Struble and his wife Nanci of Seguin
• Cathy Struble of Hutto
• Marybeth Shelton and her husband Greg of Giddings
• Patrick Struble and his wife Teri of Round Rock.
Grandchildren – Cory Struble, Craig Struble, Carla Struble, Barbara Struble, Nickolas Struble, Pierce Shelton, Jacob Shelton, Kaitlyn Shelton, Sabrina Lugo, and Alexandria Lugo
He is also survived by his siblings:
• Jake Struble of Tucson AZ
• Jim Struble of Dallas TX
• Patricia McLaughlin of Dallas TX
Lou worked for Motorola for 37 years. And after his work retirement, he continued with his mission in life, which was his volunteer work, charitable work and service to the church. It was said that “he did not treat his service as if he was a volunteer, but he put his heart, his soul and his mind into his service. It was his mission”.
He was a dedicated 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and was involved in multiple services such as Membership drives, Special Olympics and other kid oriented events.
Lou was also highly decorated within the Boy Scouts of America – receiving some of their highest awards.
He was also a longtime volunteer at Seton Medical Center Gift Shop – and was recognized for over 6000 hours of volunteer service.
Visitation will begin at 4pm on Sunday March 12th and the Rosary at 6pm at Cook-Walden Funeral Home – 6100 N Lamar Blvd in Austin.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 13th at 1:30pm at St Louis Catholic Church – 7601 Burnet Rd in Austin.
