Being a Valentine baby, his Mom baked his most favorite Pineapple Upside Down Cake every year for his birthday, a tradition that has continued, even after she passed in 1997.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Michael Villanueva.
He was proud to serve as a U.S. Marine and 82nd Airborne Paratrooper, traveling the World.
He worked in several Texas cities as a Telephone Repairman and Cable Splicer.
Louis will be remembered for his adventurous tales of military life, hunting escapades with family & friends, his many jokes, re-wording familiar songs with his own made-up lyrics, & listening to Oldies and 50’s music on Pandora. He loved Life. Always said he was going to live until he was 91, just like his uncles.
His favorite pastimes were driving his truck on short trips to buy lottery tickets and go out to eat, going to the movies, swimming & cooling off in Texas rivers, cooking & trying new recipes, growing plants & trees from seeds, and watching TV. He did not just watch a movie … he became totally ENGROSSED in the movie, became a part of it! His favorite movie star was John Wayne. Saw every one of his movies several times.
