

Louise Boyer, age 103, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2006. She was a generous, loving and dedicated Christian mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Louise was born on August 29, 1903 in Junction, Texas. She moved to Austin in 1921 to attend the University of Texas, where she graduated in 1930 with a degree in home economics. Following, she taught clothing and design at Lady of the Lake College, then married Joe M. Boyer in 1931. Louise was a member of University Avenue Church of Christ for more than 50 years. She served as a volunteer for several years at Austin State School, 7 years at Brackenridge Hospital, and 24 years at the church's Christian Service Center. Louise enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and traveled extensively. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, sisters, and husband. She is survived by her sons, Lester Boyer and wife Wilma, Don Boyer and wife Sandra; grandchildren, Chris Boyer and wife Sara, Tracy Landrum and husband Mike, Tricia Boyer, Kathryn Smith and husband James, Jon Boyer; great grandchildren, Audrey and Ryan Landrum, Emilee, Scott and Ella Boyer, Nathan and Sterling Rose Smith. Louise will be greatly missed by her family and all who loved her. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2006 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2006 in the Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Burial will follow at Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 N. IH 35 in Pflugerville, TX.
