Louise Guebara

Louise "Licha" Guebara, age 79 of Austin, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 after a courageous two year battle with cancer. She was born on October 11, 1928 to Cleto and Felicita Davila in Pflugerville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Pauline Cantu, Margaret Davila and Cathy Davila. Louise was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a humble servant of the Lord, who set the example of loving and helping others, especially her children. She was an avid sports fan and loved to see her novelas. We will miss her famous delicious tortillas and good home cooking. She never stopped fighting her illness; she had faith that she would beat the cancer. Louise is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years Dolores "Lolo" Guebara; children, Richard Guebara (Linda), Diana Capuchino (Ray), Cindy Guebara (Johnny), Dan Guebara (Margo); grandchildren, John, Paul, Dominic, Christopher, Jason, Nicole, Chloe, Noel; great-grandchildren, Johnny, Alexis, Isaiah, Idali, Aryanna; sisters, Jean DeLeon, Lupe Mendoza (Ray); brother, Cleto Davila Jr. (Mary); numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family would like to thank all of the many wonderful relatives and friends for their prayers, comfort, food and support you gave to us during our mother's illness. And we would also like to extend our gratitude to the nurses and staff at South Austin Cancer Center and Hospice Austin. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:00 pm on Friday, July 25, 2008 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 8:30 am on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Dolores Catholic Church with Reverend John Korcsmar, CSC officiating. Interment will follow at Capital Memorial Park in Pflugerville, Texas.
