

He was born Dec 4, 1937 in Quebec, Canada.
Lou is survived by Beverly Soucy; his daughter Claudine Patton and husband Craig, and granddaughter Victoria Patton of Lake Jackson, TX; his son Paul Soucy of VA; stepfather William (Bill) Larkin of Sabattus, ME; brothers Bill Larkin, Jr. of VA, Robert Larkin of CA, Michael Larkin and wife Margaret of MA and sister Janet Page of NH; aunt Lucy Belanger of ME; cousin Michael Grover and wife Leanne of ME, and many nieces and nephews.
After graduating high school, he served two tours of duty in the US Army.
He graduated with a BA degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1971.
He began his Secret Service career in 1972 in the Austin field office. He protected Presidents from Lyndon Johnson through Bill Clinton. He served two four year tours in Paris, France investigating counterfeiting of US paper money in Europe. He received seven US Secret Service "Outstanding" Performance awards and numerous letters of commendation. He ended his career with the protective detail for Lady Byrd Johnson back in Austin, Texas.

Services will be held at St Thomas More Catholic Church at 10205 RR 620 at 10:30 AM on June 9, 2012. A light lunch will be served after the service.
He was a true patriot! May he rest in peace!
