Lucile Schlinke Tipton passed away peacefully in Austin on April 1, 2021 at the age of 85. She was born on October 14, 1935 to Oscar Schlinke Jr. and Louise Schlinke in Cheapside, Texas.

She married George Taylor Tipton on January 28, 1956. Over a period of time the couple brought four wonderful children into the world. Lucile was in the restaurant business for many years, and she worked at Bealls Department Store for over 20 years.

Her husband, George Taylor Tipton; her parents, Oscar Schlinke Jr. and Louise precede her in death.

Lucile is survived by her children; son, Vernon Tipton & Sandra; son, Anthony Ray Tipton & Linda; daughter, Georgia Ann Tipton Franklin & Tommy; son, John Taylor Tipton, grandchildren: Leann Tipton, Janna Tipton Weiss & Kenneth and Michael Franklin; great-grandchildren: Alex Conine, Julia Henderson and Jaxson Weiss; three sisters, three brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation with family and friends will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 8, 2021, followed by her funeral service at 11:00 AM in the Colonial Chapel at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd., Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks in Pflugerville, Texas.
