Lucille Bernice Welch Lucille Bernice Welch died peacefully at home on October 11, 2003 at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, her sisters Florence, Margret and Elizabeth and her brother Harold. She was born August 27, 1913 in Des Moines, Iowa to Hazel and Walter McNeley. She married in 1932, lived in Des Moines, Tulsa, Oklahoma and Houston before moving to Austin in 1970. She is survived by her sister Mary Foster and husband Jim of Smithville, Texas and sons Dr. Dennis Welch and wife Lezlie of Austin and Dr. Harold Mark Welch and wife Kay of Arlington, Texas. She is also survived by grandson Dr. Patrick Welch and wife Charlotte of Lafayette, Louisiana, Kenneth Welch of New York City, Harold (Hal) Welch and wife Amy of Fort Worth, Texas and granddaughter Sara Welch of New York City, Dianne Cockrill and husband Linus of Terrell, Texas and Erin Welch of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and seven great grandchildren. She took great pride in family, cheering our accomplishments and consoling us in times of need. She was loved and will be missed. The family appreciates the assistance of Hospice Austin and of Shannon Paul who provided support and comfort in her final days. Private services are planned.
