Luis Jauregui, Sr., passed away Thursday evening at his home surrounded by his loving family. Luis was born in Tampico, Mexico in 1918 and moved with his wife, Letticia, to Austin in 1985. Luis is preceded in death by his wife, Letticia. He is survived by his nine children and their families including Luis and Susan Jauregui, Adrian and Ignacia Jauregui, Alberto and Maria Jauregui, Eddie and Betsy Jauregui and Rod and Lynn Jauregui of Austin; Carlos and Carrie Jauregui of San Antonio; Alex and Laura Jauregui of Atlanta; Letticia and Mario Gonzalez of Torreon, Mexico; Ernesto and Rocio of Chiapas, Mexico; and his 24 grandchildren. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 5:00 pm in the Chapel of Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home's location at Lamar and 32nd St. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Austin are appreciated.
