LUISE JONES RIDDLE - known to many as MeMa - a woman of faith, courage, friendliness and love, passed away October 17, 2006, in Austin, Texas. God used her life in a mighty way. She loved her family and friends deeply and unconditionally. She taught us by example. She loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. Her enthusiasm for fun was contagious, whether she was playing golf, bridge, gin, making her famous pies, dancing, playing the piano or just being glad to see you! She was beautiful inside and out...Full of grace. Her last days were spent surrounded by her family and friends. The love and care she received from the staff at West Oaks Nursing Care Center is further testimony to her special gift of loving others. She had a loving word or joke for each one - the perfect hostess to the end. We have all been touched and will continue to be touched by her spirit and determination which can only be described as both sweet and strong. Luise was born in McKinney, Texas, December 10, 1919, to Bailey Duval and Lillie Jones. She was blessed to have two brothers and five sisters. She married R. Bill Riddle in October, 1939. He was a senior at Texas A&M at the time and she became a life-long Aggie, attending football games with her family until her last game in 2005. She went to work for the Austin Anesthesiology Association in 1967 after moving to Austin. She followed Drs. Faubion, Thorne and Hopkins, managing their office until it merged with Capitol Anesthesiology. She retired at the age of 82. Luise is predeceased by her husband, R.
