Lydia was born on August 10, 1936, in Crockett, Texas. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin in 1957 with an education degree. Lydia held a variety of jobs over the years, from retiring as a dedicated elementary school teacher, stay at home mom, pre-school teacher to floral designer at the Party Pig. She brought a professional work ethic to every endeavor. In addition, she devoted much of her time to volunteering at the Mary Lee Foundation and Seton Hospital, Lydia was also a proud member of Riverbend Church. Some of her favorite activities were riding with her parents in the equestrian drill team, camping, water skiing, jazzercising, and cuddling with one of her many dachshunds.
Lydia married her high school sweetheart Charles Dicky Travis in 1956, shortly thereafter moved to Austin, Texas for the rest of their lives. They were married for 63 wonderful years and brought each other immense happiness. Whether accompanying Dicky to work socials, going to the deer lease or making memories with her family and friends at South Padre Island, her life was full of adventure, but nothing brought more joy than making treasured memories with her family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Dicky Travis, her parents Morris and Beth McMullen of Huntington, Texas. She also joins her grandson Austin Imboden in heaven.
Lydia is survived by her children: Morris Richard Travis and wife Renee’ Travis, of Pflugerville, daughter, Analisa Imboden, of Round Rock; grandchildren John Travis and wife Heather of Bertram; Kaitlin Williams and husband Patrick and great grandchildren Clara and Kinlee of Liberty Hill; Travis Imboden, of Round Rock.
