Lynn Barnett Hosny 1923 2006 You are reading in the newspaper that I am dead. Do not believe a word of it, for I am more alive than ever before. This quote is borrowed from the Evangelist D. L. Moody. It is also appropriate for our mother who pointed out, that at this time she would be with her Saviour in her heavenly home. If you want to shed tears, make them tears of joy that she has been released from all her pain since she is surely rejoicing in heaven with all that have gone before her. Lynn was born to Mamie and Dorris Jack Barnett, on July 19, 1923, in Chappell Hill, Texas. On the eighth of October she joined her parents and her sister, Mavis Morrison who preceded her in death. Surviving Lynn is her brother, Frank Barnett and wife, Pat of Dallas; her sister, Pat and husband, Lewis King of Austin; her daughter, Beverly and husband, Wayne Mire of Austin; son, Rick Melchior and wife, Criss of Marble Falls; and son, Mark Hosny and wife, Penny of San Antonio. Lynns grandchildren are: Chris Mire, Jill Mire Cain, Mindy Melchior McCage, Brandon, Austin, and Ryan Melchior, and Daniel and Kayla Hosny. She was privileged to have seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who, along with other family, shared in her love and great sense of humor. Her many close friends came from various walks of life; from her childhood in Austin to her waning years in San Antonio. No one was a stranger. She befriended shopkeepers, neighbors, service people, and everyone who came her way. Her life was richer, both for what she gave and for what she received from her friends. During the years she was unable to attend church, she claimed Dr. Charles Stanley as her Pastor. She shared the love of Christ with all her children and many friends, as her most passionate desire was to know that all of them would come to know Christ and join her in heaven. On her behalf, we share John 3:16, For God so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have ever-lasting life. Please let this verse speak to your heart and receive salvation in order that you too can be assured of your heavenly home. Join her family and friends in the celebration of her life on Friday, October 13th at 1:00 pm at the Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home followed by interment at Capital Memorial Park. The Reverend Paul Stephens of Cedar Valley Baptist Church will officiate. Obituary and guestbook online at wcfish.com
