

Lynne Lovinggood Bohn was born in 1934 in Dallas, Texas and died January 28th, 2025 at her home in Austin, Texas. Her parents were Lavon E. Lovinggood and Elaine Boren Lovinggood. Raised in Highland Park, Texas she graduated from Highland Park high school in 1951. Lynne went on to study English at the University of Texas, graduating in 1955.
At UT she met the love of her life, Skip Bohn, whom she married after graduation in 1955.
While at UT, Lynne loved her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, was twice a finalist for Sweetheart, voted top ten Most Beautiful at the university as well as Miss Engineer.
Lynne and Skip lived in Austin, where they raised their three children, Debbie, Susan and Chris.
She attended the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church where she had many lifelong friends.
While raising her family, Lynne enjoyed her volunteer and social groups, including the Junior League, the Junior Austin Women’s Club, the Helping Hand Home and Settlement Home for Children, where she continued to volunteer at the Garage Sale until recent years. Lynne continued to be an active alumnae of Kappa Alpha Theta, including the Theta Sewing Club.
Travel was an important and enjoyable part of Lynne and Skip’s life together, as they visited beautiful and exotic destinations and had many memorable adventures together, many with their close friends.
After the family moved to Dallas in 1969, Lynne belonged to the Dallas Women’s Club and the Marianne Scruggs Garden Club. Many of the inspiration and skills learned during this time were used to design her home and garden, which she enjoyed and always implemented beautifully.
In Dallas, Lynne and Skip attended St Michael’s and all Angels Episcopal Church and Lynne worked as a broker for Ebby Halliday Realtors for many years. When the grandchildren came, they became her focus, and she kept them often.
Lynne is survived by her husband, Skip Bohn, her three children Debbie, Susan and Chris, seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, brother David Lovinggood, Frances Pratt.

A memorial service will be held at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 3201 Windsor Rd., Austin, Tx 78703, on Monday, February 3rd at 12:00, following a private family burial service.
