She attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where she was affiliated with Delta Delta Delta sorority.
Madelyn married F.E. Gene Woodworth in 1945. They moved to Austin in 1952. She was a member of Brackenridge Hospital Auxiliary and St. John's Methodist Church.
Madelyn is survived by her son James (Buzzy) Woodworth; daughter Lynn Woodworth; grandson Jack and wife Katie, and granddaughter Madelyn Kay; great-granddaughter Raylee Annette. She is preceded in death by her husband Francis Eugene (Woody) Woodworth and daughter-in-law Lee Eckert Woodworth.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd. A reception will follow the service in the Solarium at Westminster Manor, 4200 Jackson Ave.
