

Our dad, Lt. Col. (retired) Manley W. Crider, Jr., passed away on March 4, 2014 trying to recover from open heart surgery and pneumonia. He was born in Lampasas, Texas on April 5, 1935, and passed away one month shy of his 79th birthday. Dad dedicated 22 years of his life as an Air Force pilot and finished his professional career as a Director at the City of Austin's Electric Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents Manley Wayne Crider, Sr., and Georgie Terry Crider. He is survived by his beloved wife Anna Marie Crider, his children Debbie Rothberger and husband Tony, Danny and his wife Staci, and grandchildren Hayden and Madison Crider, and Carson Hanel who were all a great source of pride for him. Also, he is survived by his beloved dogs T.J. and Penny. Dad will be missed by many friends, Masonic brothers, and extended family.
Our dad enjoyed spending his time outdoors, hunting with family and playing golf with his friends. He was an active member of the Masons Lodge in Dripping Springs, Texas. He continued to talk about these activities up until his last day.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation, in memory of our dad.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home at 3125 North Lamar Blvd., Austin, Texas at 10:00 with a memorial service following at 11:00. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:30 pm in San Antonio, Texas.
