Manuel Manny Mendez, age 60, of Austin, formerly of Kyle, died on Friday, June 22, 2007 surrounded by his family. Manuel was born on May 19, 1947 in Kyle, Texas. He was a lifetime member and past president of Pan American Golf Association. Manuel was a wonderful, loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and brother. Manuel is survived by his wife of forty years, Margaret R. Mendez; daughter Jacqueline Chavez and husband Daniel; son Christopher Mendez and wife Rosemarie; daughter Monica Mendez; son Manuel Mark Mendez; brothers, Tony and John Mendez; and fifteen loving grandchildren. A rosary will be recited on Monday, June 25, 7:00 p.m. at Weed Corley-Fish Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 10:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church with interment immediately following at San Vicente Cemetery in Kyle, Texas.
