I am not here today to talk to you…I wish I could be. My life has been enriched by all who have touched me, helped me, supported me. I have had a great life, including my upbringing in Libertyville where I graduated high school, and then went on to Marquette University in Milwaukee…oh, the stories I could tell! As my life continued I had a fantastic voyage throughout the world, including my favorites of England, New Zealand and Singapore and a few more stories told and a few not told…well, that’s just the man in me! More importantly, the people in my life have shaped me, challenged me, and simply liked me for just who I was. Texas delivered to me success, warm memories, great friends I could never replace, and a future that was as bright and beautiful as the wide open western sky. My parents, Claude and Sharon, gave me guts, insight and inspiration. My friends gave me love, support and laughs. My brother gave me a chance to know what life was really for.

Hey Austin…what a ride! This is what life is about. Never rode a bull, but what a sweet place in my soul. Just hanging out …oh, those warm Texas nights with people who made me smile. Andrea, my love, keep me in your dreams. Know that I had so many plans for us, so many good times ahead. We had a special place for one another, and the joy you gave me will never be forgotten.

Do not grieve for me. Let your life’s blood soar, and remember me while you hit the heights. I would like that, and I would smile for you and love you for what you have given me. Mom, Dad….I am sorry for your grief. I will be with Brett and forever know that I was so beautifully touched by you~~nurtured, scolded, supported. We sure had some good times. My beautiful family and friends were priceless.

Friends and family, thank you for all you have given me….I was indeed blessed. Carry on, I’ll be with you all the way.
