Marcelina Garza Cisneros, born to Placida Ramos in Victoria, Texas on April 26, 1932, determinedly started her journey to the other side on July 31, 2024. She fought against the cruel and brutal disease, Dementia, for several years. In addition, she was also a breast cancer survivor.
Mom was a retiree from the Texas Department of State Health Services. She worked in the food services department at the Austin State Hospital. She loved going to the casinos where she would often enjoy big wins.
Marcelina loved beautiful things such as roses, jewelry, makeup, fashion, and shopping. Mom loved spending time with her family, was an animal lover, and would never be found without a dog at home. She also enjoyed sharing memories of her beloved sister Josie, of blessed memory.
Marcelina married her husband of 65 years, Guadalupe G. Cisneros in 1952 and together they brought six children into this world; Dora Snowberger (Kenneth), Carlos Cisneros (Barbara), Martin Cisneros, Esther Phelan (David), Vera Dye (Gordon) and Eloise Potter (John.)
She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren: Noel Snowberger (Matt Ramseyer), Amy Ballard (Ryan), Kristie Snowberger, Austin Cisneros (Karen), Travis Cisneros (Jennifer), Lyndon Cisneros (Tanya), Rosa Cisneros, Gregory Phelan, Marcie Queen, Amelia Dye (Chad), Brian Dye (Stephanie), Dean Wirkerman (Robyn), Logan Potter and Sophia Potter. In addition, she leaves behind 19 great-grandchildren ranging in age from 25 years old to 4 years old and one great-great-grandson.
Marcelina is also survived by her siblings, Ophelia Guzman and Rosie Williams.
