

Margaret Alvina Wusterhausen Peschke was born September 12, 1931 in Holland, Bell County, Texas to William August Wusterhausen and Mattie Rebecca Townsend. Her family moved to the Paige, Texas area when she was young and she attended Paige School. She graduated from Giddings High School in 1948. On November 27, 1949 she married Curtis Louis Peschke in Paige, Texas. In late 1955 they moved to Austin.
Margaret was a loving and devoted wife and mother and active in her church, St. Mark United Methodist, until recent medical issues curtailed her mobility. She was employed for several years with the American Lung Association in Austin.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Curtis Peschke; her son Kenneth Peschke; daughter Kathy Reinhart and son-in-law, Steve Reinhart; and daughter Janice Slager and son-in-law, Fred Slager; grandchildren Pam Barosh and her husband, J.D; Brian Peschke and his wife, Diana; Eric Reinhart; Michelle Rehm and her husband, Pat; and three great-grandchildren.
The family expresses their thanks and appreciation to the physicians and nurses of North Austin Hospital, and the staff of Girling Home Health and Hospice Care.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 5, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 6, at 2:00 P.M. at St. Mark UMC at 601 W. Braker Lane, with internment following at Austin Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church for the Community Outreach Education Building Fund.
