Marguerite Metcalfe Annis Marguerite Metcalfe Annis, 22 years old, died in her Austin home with her parents at her side on Thursday morning, March 11, 2004. She was born in Austin, Texas on May 18, 1981. When 10 years old she was diagnosed with a brain tumor and over the following 12 years she endured with grace and dignity. She died of a seizure disorder that developed following brain surgery. Marguerite was a lovely, loving, and spiritual young lady who touched many in her short life. She was schooled in the Eanes School System and Duane Lake Academy, and graduated from Westlake High School in 2000. She attended Beacon College in Leesburg, Florida and graduated with an Associate Degree of Arts in Human Services in 2003. She is survived by her parents Joseph Annis, MD and Peggy Annis, of Austin, and sisters Sally Annis, of Nashua, NH, and Mary Starck Annis of Denver, CO; her grandparents Edward Annis, MD and Betty Annis, of Miami FL; 17 aunts and uncles, 10 cousins, and countless friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 15, 2004 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 5455 Bee Cave Road (328-3220), followed by a reception in the parish’s Morris Hall.
