Marguerite (Brown) Langston, age 99, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2015. She was born September 5, 1916, in Austin, and was a lifelong florist, working in the flower shop of her parents. When her parents passed away, she became co-owners with her daughter, Dorothy, in Flowers by Marguerite. Marguerite never thought of the word retirement. She always wanted to be busy.
Preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister. Also by her husband and one son. She is survived by children, Ann Cousineau and husband Tom, Dorothy Langston, and Thomas Langston; grandchildren, John Lane, Jr. , Rick Lane, and Warren Langston; great-grandchildren, Grayson Lane, Weston Lane, and Amanda Griffin; great-great grandchildren, Gideon Griffin, and Zoe Griffin.
She was a 39-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a 51-year member of Mary Rebekah Lodge, and a 30-year member of B.F. Marshall L.A.P.M. No.15.
Funeral services, 2 p.m., Sunday, December 6th at Weed-Corley-Fish, 3125 N. Lamar. Burial to follow at Austin Memorial Park.
