

Marie Creswell was born on February 8, 1918 in LaPorte, Texas to Mary Elizabeth and Joe Fasulla. She attended LaPorte High School and graduated in 1935. She married Lemuel David Creswell in 1942 and settled permanently in the Austin area in 1946. Marie retired from the Lower Colorado River Authority in 1986 and became a Seton Volunteer. She volunteered for over 20 years, retiring at 93. Marie passed away at Brackenridge Hospital on Monday, February 18, 2013 at the age of 95 with her family and friends at her side.
Marie was energetic and fun-loving woman who enjoyed traveling, board games, cooking, and “visiting” with her many loyal friends who describe her as a “kind,” “gentle,” and “generous.” Marie loved her various pets, her church, her lodge and her family.
Marie is survived by her three children: sons Lem Creswell and wife Laurie of Comanche, David Wayne Creswell and wife Darcy of Katy; and daughter Mary Jo Creamer and husband John of Bastrop. Grandchildren: Sloane Northridge and husband Dave; Lauren Markaverich and husband David, and Tobin Creswell. Great Grandchildren: Jack Henry Northridge, Halle Marie Northridge, Lewis Lemuel Northridge, Charlie Andrew Northridge, and Josie Lauren Markaverich.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening on Wednesday, the 20th of February 2013, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home on 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.
A funeral service will be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Thursday, the 21st of February, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home on 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.
A graveside service is scheduled for four o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery on 6900 Lawndale Avenue, Houston, Texas under the direction of Cook-Walden Funeral Home.
