Darin and I had the pleasure of meeting Marilyn several times in the years after Ken and Karen married. Marilyn was so sweet and the perfect lovely picture of a gentle spirited and somehow tough as nails Southern Lady. While I did not have the honor of truly knowing Marilyn, I am able to see and know her strength and beauty in the loving and truly beautiful example of a human being that is her son Ken. We are so lucky and blessed to know the Beard family and even luckier that our families have merged. I will be forever grateful to Marilyn and Bob for their wonderful son, Ken. They have left a truly meaningful legacy... their children.
