Marilyn Marie (Kindred) McKinley

Marilyn Marie (Kindred) McKinley was born on March 26, 1951, in Austin, Texas. Surrounded by her loving family, she peacefully transitioned to eternity with her Lord on Saturday, April 30, 2022.Marilyn attended Blackshear Elementary, Kealing Jr. High, and graduated from The Original L. C. Anderson High School class of 1969. She attended Nixon Clay Business College after graduating high school.She worked at IRS as a computer operator for many years to move on to a new career at Farmer Insurance where she later retired. Among many hobbies, she delighted in collecting angels, crosses, owls, knitting, sewing, cooking, and loved baking from scratch. She had a natural green thumb when it came to her plant babies. She was a very nurturing mother, sister, and daughter who had a loving and caring heart for everyone that knew her. Her spirit and presence will be missed by all.She was preceded in death by her father, Nathaniel Kindred, Sr.; mother, Lillie Mae Kindred; and sister, Jacqueline Ann Kindred.Those left to cherish her precious memories include: son, Donald Ray Edwards, Jr.; daughter, Vikki Marie Hadden; son, Leethaniel Edwards (Stephanie); grandchildren: Brittany Edwards, Leethaniel Edwards, Jr., Desire’ Hatton, Deja Hadden, Darrell Hadden, Jr., Jahrron Edwards, Taylor Edwards, Darrick Farmer, and MiaRose Edwards; and four great-grandchildren; five sisters, Myrna Scott (Leonard), Evelyn Hargrove (Floyd Sr.), Patricia Edwards (Eugene), and Margaret Thomas (Clarence Jr.); four brothers, Nathaniel Kindred, Jr. (Linda), Michael Kindred (Avonne), Richard Kindred, Sr. (Yolanda) and Christopher Kindred (Pamela); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
