

Marilyn loved being the outdoors in God’s creation and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. She was very giving and loved both God and her community. She served as a Sunday school teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher, and worked at her church’s Early Memory Loss program and Food Pantry. Marilyn also participated in a number of other events in the glory of God to help her community such as the March of Dimes, mentoring in the Early Start program, and the KLRU Auction. Marilyn was also a member of the Sons of Hermann in which she served as youth director, president, and vice president. She enjoyed reading Danielle Steel novels and watching wheel of Fortune and the Amazing Race. She also loved attending her grandchildren’s’ functions and special events. She was infinitely patient and caring toward everyone and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Alwin Saegert, father-in-law DJ Meinke, mother-in-law Anita Meinke, brother-in-law Winston Boettcher, and brother-in-law Ernest Radenz. She is survived by her husband James Meinke, mother Olefia Saegert, sister Annette Foerster and husband Charlie, sister-in-law Deanna Radenz, children Paul Meinke and wife Rachel, Dean Meinke and wife Valerie, Michelle Merka and husband David, grandchildren Stephanie and Stacy Meinke, Catherine, Colton and Cari Meinke, Ashley Merka, and many cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
