Marilyn lived a full and meaningful life marked by dedication to both her work and her family. She worked as an insurance adjuster for GAB Business Services, where she was known for her professionalism and strong work ethic.
Above all, Marilyn was a proud and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest joy in caring for her grandchildren and spending time with those she loved.
Marilyn shared a special lifelong bond with her sister and best friend, Audrey. The two spent countless cherished moments together, creating memories that Marilyn held dear throughout her life. Marilyn and Audrey especially enjoyed traveling with their dear friends Polly and Eva, creating lasting memories together and sharing lots of laughs.
Marilyn was a devout Christian whose faith was an important part of her life. She found comfort and community in attending Allendale Baptist Church, where she enjoyed worship and fellowship.
In her quieter moments, Marilyn enjoyed watching golf, old movies, and game shows, as well as spending time reading. She was also a loyal fan of Texas football—but made it known that she would always root for the Texas A&M Aggies, thanks to her grandchildren. She appreciated simple pleasures and found happiness in everyday comforts.
She is survived by her son, David Elliott and his spouse, Marian; her grandchildren, Meghan and her spouse Tyler, and Reed; and her great-grandson, Jackson. She is also survived by her son, Scott O’Neal and his partner, Debbie; and her stepdaughter, Melissa and her spouse, Oz. Marilyn further leaves behind her step grandchildren, Tazia and her spouse, Sway, along with their children, Solomon, Abel, and Stella; and Melanie and her spouse, Jordan, along with their children, Thomas, Grace, Tilly, and August. She is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim O’Neal, and beloved son, Jimmy Elliott, along with her parents, William and Loraine Pratt, and her sister Audrey Rowley.
Marilyn will be remembered for her warmth, her devotion to family, and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Celebration of life to be held on Tuesday, June 30th, 2026, at 12 PM at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749. Followed by an internment.
