Marion Deloris Medlock

Marion Deloris Medlock, 84, of Rockdale, Texas, passed away on April 27, 2016. She was born in Laredo, Texas, on September 28, 1931, to Elmer and Gladys Porter. Marion was married to James Allen Medlock on April 26, 1958 in Bastrop, Texas.

Marion Worked for Travis State School and she had a passion for caregiving.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband James, her son Rodger Sr., daughter Julie, son James Jr., and granddaughter Carla.

She is survived by her daughters; Patricia Macklin (Ron) of Rockdale, Texas, Gail Crawford (George) of Rockdale, Texas, Lisa Medlock of Rockdale, Texas, sons, John Goodall (Jeanie) of Burnet, Texas, Kenneth Goodall (Sue) of Mason, Texas, and Marlon Medlock (JoAnn) of Snellville, Georgia; sisters, Helen Pollard and Darlene Ednie; brother, Lee Porter; 23 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for visitation at 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd., Austin, Texas.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, May 1, 2016, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home.
