Marion graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in education. She taught for 54 consecutive years in Florida, Louisiana, and Texas. She loved teaching and felt it was her purpose in life.
Not too many people knew she was a tap dancer, avid golfer, swimmer, and tennis player. She was an absolute animal lover. Marion was so proud to be torch bearer in the 2002 Olympics torch relay in Austin, Texas. She will be immensely missed, for she was immensely loved.
In 1956, she married Irvin Creston Voudouris and they were married for 44 years.
Marion is preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Creston Voudouris; parents, Charles and Marion Francis Longacre; brothers, Jim and Lloyd Longacre. She is survived by her daughter, Corilynne Voudouris.
Marion will be laid to rest Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
