Marjorie Elaine Locklier Bailey, age 94, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017, in Austin, Texas. She was born October 31, 1923, in Beck Prairie, Robertson County, Texas to parents Evie May Locklier and Herbert Glenn Locklier, both of Calvert, Texas.
She is survived by a sister, Kathryn Louise Locklier Quackenbush of Phoenix, Arizona; sons, James and wife Donna, of The Woodlands, Texas and plus another son in Texas; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Lee Bailey; her parents; and her brother, Herbert Glenn Locklier, Jr.
She was a life-long member of Central Christian Church of Austin, Texas and participated in numerous church activities throughout her lifetime.
Marjorie Bailey worked for the University of Texas library system as well as the Internal Revenue Service in South Austin for much of her professional career.
A private family service was held at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. A memorial service at Central Christian Church in Austin, Texas is to be announced.
